Decoration Process
Handcrafted
The intricate figural design is handcrafted by skilled Italian artisans. Each piece reflects the natural character of the handmade process, making every platter uniquely beautiful.
Care & Use
Dishwasher Safe
We recommend using a non-fragrant, non-citrus, non-abrasive detergent on the air-dry cycle (or econo heat when available). Avoid overloading the dishwasher and position pieces so they do not touch during high-pressure washing. Dry thoroughly before storing.
Microwave Safe
Due to the handmade nature and natural clays used in VIETRI pieces, temperatures may vary after microwave use. Always use a pot holder or oven mitt when handling a heated piece, keep heated products away from children, never microwave the platter without food or liquid on it, and allow it to cool before removing it from the microwave.
Freezer Safe
The platter can withstand freezing temperatures. Allow it to return to room temperature before placing it in the oven.
Oven Safe
VIETRI stoneware is heat resistant up to 400°F. Do not place the platter directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven or directly from the oven into the freezer. Hot pieces should always be placed on a cool, dry, protected surface.
The Artistry of Cristian Massaro
The craftsmanship of this piece reflects the work of Cristian Massaro, a Tuscan master artisan representing the next generation of Italian ceramic artists.
Born in Tuscany, Cristian graduated with honors from the Academy of Beaux Arts in Florence before beginning his artistic journey as an apprentice under maestro Stefano Roselli. Under Stefano's guidance, he refined his craft while contributing to the creation of several beloved VIETRI collections. Specializing in drawing, painting, and sculpture, Cristian brings technical mastery and artistic expression to every piece he creates.
Made in Tuscany
Handcrafted in Tuscany, the Lastra Holiday collection celebrates the region's rich heritage of art, ceramics, and craftsmanship. The birthplace of the Renaissance, Tuscany has inspired generations of artists and artisans and remains renowned for its distinctive Italian craftsmanship.
