Decoration Process
Handpainted
Each piece is individually handpainted, resulting in subtle variations in color and brushwork. These natural nuances reflect the artist's hand and the amount of paint applied and are not imperfections, but hallmarks of authentic Italian craftsmanship that make every item uniquely beautiful.
Care & Use
Dishwasher Safe
We recommend using a non-fragrant, non-citrus, non-abrasive detergent on the air-dry cycle (or econo heat when available). Avoid overloading the dishwasher and position pieces so they do not touch during high-pressure washing. Dry thoroughly before storing.
Microwave Safe
Due to the handmade nature and natural clays used in VIETRI pieces, temperatures may vary after microwave use. Always use a pot holder or oven mitt when handling a heated piece, keep heated products away from children, never microwave the platter without food or liquid on it, and allow it to cool before removing it from the microwave.
Freezer Safe
The platter can withstand freezing temperatures. Allow it to return to room temperature before placing it in the oven.
Oven Safe
VIETRI stoneware is heat resistant up to 400°F. Do not place the platter directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven or directly from the oven into the freezer. Hot pieces should always be placed on a cool, dry, protected surface.
The Artistry of Stefano Roselli
The Lastra collection reflects the creative vision of Stefano Roselli, an Italian maestro molder whose lifelong passion for clay and ceramics has helped shape many of VIETRI's beloved collections.
Born in Italy in 1957, Stefano began his artistic career in 1972 working with candle and wax molds before transitioning to ceramics. After years of mastering the nuances of different clays and ceramic techniques, he became a maestro molder in 1989. Today, he leads the creative design process for many VIETRI collections, blending traditional Italian craftsmanship with an innovative artistic perspective.
Made in Tuscany
Handcrafted in Tuscany, the Vietri Lastra Holiday collection celebrates the region's rich heritage of art, ceramics, and craftsmanship. Tuscany, the birthplace of the Renaissance, has inspired generations of artists and artisans and remains synonymous with Italian creativity and design.
Why You'll Love It
The Vietri Lastra Holiday Oval Platter is made for gathering. Its generous size provides plenty of room for a beautiful holiday entrée or an abundant assortment of seasonal favorites, while its handpainted Italian stoneware construction brings warmth and character to the table.
